California, but have spent more time outside of ca (boarding school at 13, and haven't returned to live since). At this point I represent Brooklyn!

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT:

Participating on a 32-city national tour Fall 2008 as solution-cipher facilitator (hurricaneseasontour.com), aiding local organizations in each city with articulating their mission and programs from a solution-based vantage point.

SOMETHING YOU MIGHT TEACH AT THE SUMMIT:

Developing innovative community based projects that have a potential societal/international impact.

SOMETHING YOU HOPE TO LEARN AT THE SUMMIT:

How to ensure communities utilize models that work, versus recreating "the wheel".

SOMETHING YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH IN YOUR WORK:

Developing leadership in adults (i.e. integrity).

SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY:

Youth leaders, fruit trees, potlucks, brainstorming that leads to "great ideas".

When I do not keep my word.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY:

I have a large extended family, my cousins and I are more like brothers and sisters. My mother is a social worker and therapist, my father a Vietnam veteran, retired postal worker, and inmate in a Nevada correctional facility. I have a sister and a brother.

Ice breaker activities in the beginning.

BIOGRAPHY:

Sallomé is an idea mogul and dream executor. She is Community Liaison for DOPE SWAN, owner of Phefeni Childrenswear, and co-founder of The Re:Construction Period. Sallomé (a/k/a Sallomazing!) has a liberal arts degree from Wesleyan University, has studied at Cape Coast University in Ghana, West Africa and Bank Street College of Education, has training from. Landmark Education, and certification from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
