BIOGRAPHY:
As a film director, Jethro Rothe‐Kushel began his career with a documentary about homelessness in downtown Los Angeles which screened to critical acclaim at festivals and social issues conferences around the world. He went on to direct projects in Spain, Mexico, and Brazil as well as award‐winning music videos for MTV. He served as a creative executive for Torn Sky Entertainment and worked in TV and film development helping emerging writers out of graduate film programs at AFI, USC, UCLA, Columbia, and NYU. Jethro has successfully pitched projects to indy companies as well as ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, Sony Pictures & Paramount. As a producer, he has six 35mm features to his credit. Most recently he supervised the LA production of the top of the broadcast for the 81st Annual Academy Awards. In addition to his work in traditional film and TV, Jethro has been a pioneer of new media and was among the first to monetize internet‐based viral content, and has successfully developed, produced and deployed online content for small businesses as well as Fortune 500 Companies.
